English translation:

Kind regards with reverence preceding. Honourable Clergyman Sir Grand Master, We Margrete, by the grace of God, King Valdemar of Denmark's daughter, make it known that when We came here to Lund for our son King Erik and Our daughter the queen's wedding, then Our son certainly told Us and those who had been with him in Kalmar, when you were last there, that Our son did not get any decision from you regarding Gotland and Visby, as We had certainly hoped, but that it stood by the 6 week agreement, as it was previously determined in Falsterbro etc., and that it hurts Us very much that he and yours are not reconciled in any other way, and that we could not attend. We said this to you before, because We had to wait for Our aforementioned daughter, when she came from England and God had wanted an agreement to be reached between Our son and yours, then you would have been satisfied with the letter that the king has issued, as We let you see, when they were last in Jutland with Us. And it is certainly also told to Us that you would not wait so long so that We could come, and they would not sail around to Hölviken, so that We with several of the kingdom's councils could have come. Now, honourable Lord, since yours thus departed, as is written above, it should happen that it pleased God and you and yours, that We talked about it and strove for another meeting to be held in the summer between Our son and yours in Øresund that you would send yours by proxy there and that the cities that had previously been present could then also come along, and if you wanted Our son to let the King of England know if he also sent his with, then We hope that he did not leave it as it is told to Us, for if the Holy Ghost would turn His grace to it, that someone might strive to say and do something good, that there might always reign peace and good agreement everywhere, and God wanted Us to be able to serve and do something good for these aforementioned causes, then you know for sure that We would have liked to have done it and still want to do it. Still concerning the estate which you and yours have written to Us about, it has all been south and lies there, as when yours parted from Us this summer, and lies still so long until We know whether you will write Us a answer back on these aforementioned cases or not, enlightened Lord. Think about it, that our son and these kingdoms could get theirs again and that due to Gotland and Visby, a lot of effort, costs and worries have arisen. God grant and add it so that no more harm will arise from it, and know that We have written about the same thing to your cities in Prussia to inform you, because they have been in the negotiations before. Dear Lord, do now and show you in all matters that Our son and We certainly trust in your honesty and let him with his kinsmen all the more prove it to you, and God wants him to get his back again, then we hope that he with his relatives can stand more and more at your service with the help of God. Thus We commend you to God and desire a good and clear answer to these aforesaid passages by this commandment. We urge you to do so. Written in the city of Lund in the year of the Lord 1406 the Saturday before Saint Morten Bishop's day under our seal.
